Eileen was a dedicated workaholic and Mike was re-dedicating himself to the single life. So when the Soulmates flyer came in the mail, Eileen decided maybe she should check it out since her hair was only shoulder length. One year and 10 very nice but forgettable men later, she met Mike. She described him to friends as “goofily. She was captivated by Mike’s great sense of humor and fun-loving personality. Eileen’s all consuming job and career were downsized shortly afterward.

Mike’s part of the story is simpler. He had planned to be a social butterfly the rest of his life, dating around for companionship. Eileen was his first and last date.

Our real story is that over time we became good friends, then best friends, and finally realized that best friends in love are the ones who should marry.

We met in September 2001. I had went on several dates through Soulmates and other avenues (i.e. newspaper, friends etc.) and nothing panned out until I met Jim. I was Jim’s second date through Soulmates and we hit it off immediately when we first met!!

Long story short, we moved in together within 3 weeks and have not been apart since. We have had our share of ups and downs, good times and bad times, but love each other completely. We share many of the same interests and goals. We were married in March 2002. Thank you Soulmates for matching us together! Without your service, we both think we would not have found each other.

Michael and I were married in "The Windy City", which seems very appropriate for our "whirl-wind" lives and romance. I am a successful entrepreneur with a huge zest for life. Mike is a physician with a schedule that allows very little time for socializing. We feel our paths would have never crossed if we had not taken the time to become members at Soulmates. Five years later, we have two beautiful children together.
